We are still hearing the plan is for a Joint Budget Personnel committee to be called to order at the end of the month for a public forum. This will be the first opportunity for the pay plan proposal to be presented to members of the committee. This will be a detailed discussion only and will allow time for elected officials to review the legislation and receive feedback from the stakeholders.
This will also allow ASEA's board time to review the legislation and offer analysis to the committee members.
Then, after the listening period, the proposal should come back the following week for a vote depending on any potential changes.
We will provide our members a link to the live streaming video of the committee meeting once it is posted. Note: All legislative meetings are recorded and can be watched at anytime.
We are still hoping to get a copy of the pay plan draft ahead of the meeting.
