We are receiving many calls and emails concerned about the pay plan bill not having yet been filed even though the legislative session has already begun.
What we know:
Creating a new compensation and classification system for state employees is a major component of the Governors Arkansas Forward initiative. State employee issues will be one of the top priorities this session.
There have been lot of changes made to the current compensation and classification system.
We were told this week that the Office of Personnel Management and the Governors office met yesterday to review the updated draft of the pay plan bill to see if it is ready to be filed.
If those two parties are in agreement we could see it filed very soon.
We will update you next week with a more detailed "what's next" steps and hopefully include the proposed pay plan bill.
