Pay Plan
The pay plan bill, SB392, sponsored by Senator Davis, Russellville, and co-sponsors Representative Maddox, Mena, and Representative Wooten, Beebe, passed out the Senate chamber today. It now heads to the House. If passes out out of that chamber then it will head to the Governor's office for signing. It could arrive on her desk by the end of the week but most likely early next week.

Two other bills we are tracking could see some action this week.
Sponsored by Senator Jamie Scott, Little Rock, SB241 made it out of the Senate successfully earlier this month and will now run in the House State Agencies committee this Wednesday. Since that time this bill has added two additional co-sponsors and has bipartisan support. If it receives a do-pass out of committee then it will head to the House chamber and then hopefully to the Governor's desk for signature.
Sponsored by Representative DeAnn Vaught, Horatio, HB1720 would create a limited pilot program where employees could bring their infant to work. This bill failed to get out of committee earlier this month as members wanted more information. ASEA assisted Representative Vaught by finding rules and procedures from other state governments in hopes of jumpstarting the process. It is on the agenda for House State Agencies this Wednesday and will hopefully be ran by the author.
We are always watching out for retirees.
